HIV, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C have similar modes of transmission. Due to the similar transmission mode, people with HIV must also have information and knowledge about Hepatitis B and C. With this in mind, we are collaborating with the Pelita Ilmu Foundation in an in-house training activitiy to strengthen peer support capacity, especially for the Jakarta area. In this activity, which was attended by 73 participants, we had the opportunity to share some basic information about the Hepatitis Virus and the importance of early testing and treatment of Hepatitis B and C for people living with HIV.
Hopefully, this collaboration can continue to benefit people who are in need of information and access to diagnosis and treatment of viral hepatitis.
